Editor’s Note: The Definition of Evidence

smartphone

Evidence – noun

1) That which tends to prove or disprove something; ground for belief; proof
2) Something that makes plain or clear; an indication or sign
3) Law Data presented to a court or Jury in proof of facts in issue and which may include the testimony of witnesses, records, documents or objects

Now what does that have to do with anything? Smartphones and Dumb Ass Teenagers. Yes, that’s right Dumb Ass Teenagers and their Smartphones.
Yes, I know it’s wrong to label people and not all Teenagers are dumb asses. Now granted it’s perfectly normal to tell people what is going on in your life, to take pictures. For those of you playing along at home who were born after 1995 the presentation of holiday pictures via a slide projector is in fact an ancient form of torture.
Now granted I am not one to post a lot of pictures of what I am doing but then again I led a fairly predictable and ordinary life and the jury is still out on if I’m normal.
Here is the question that needs to be answered exactly when was the memo email that said it was absolutely necessary to film everything that you do and load it on to YouTube for the masses to see?
I know that it’s the age of social media and all that, but has the time of not wanting your parents to know what you have truly passed. This has given rise to a group of morons who with their YouTube and Facebook postings are better of ringing jail and make reservations personally.
In short think about the definition of evidence and think before you post.
