A young man driven by revenge for the murder must enter a martial arts tournament and defeat the world’s most elite fighters.

It would seem that one of the most risky things that can be done when making movies is using a computer game as source material. There are many examples of this the most notable or notorious in my mind would be the Mortal Kombat franchise. Gladly the Tekken movie does not fall into that trap, though it is far from a cinematic masterpiece, considering it has a rather simple plot. But then again when you are watching an action movie, you rarely have time worry about the plot. Fans of the computer game franchise should not be disappointed with the fighting styles displayed in the movie from the computer game, while fans of action movies will be impressed with the varied fight sequences as they where choreographed by Cyril Raffaelli.
