Telemarketing calls would have to be one of the most annoying phone calls that you can possibly receive. The best way to stop these calls is by registering on the Do Not Call List. You can do this by either registering on the website www.donotcall.gov.au or by calling 1300792958.
You should be aware that under the current legislation originally passed in 2006 requires phone numbers to be re-registered every three years.
However, under a purposed amendment to the Do Not Call Act introduced by Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Senator Stephen Conroy this period would change to five years.
