Every seven years in an unsuspecting town, The Tournament takes place. A game of cat and mouse between 30 of the world’s deadliest assassins. The last man standing receiving the $10,000,000 cash prize and the title of World’s Number one assassin.

This is the exact kind of movie for people who love intelligent action movies and don’t worry The Tournament has more then enough of all important inventive action sequences. Writers Gary Young, Jonathon Frank and director Scott Mann should be congratulated for their efforts with this movie. Robert Carlyle gives a brilliant performance of a troubled priest who clearly demonstrates the concept behind the age-old idiom being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Tournament poses the mother of all conundrums such as : what is more important your faith or another person’s life, do you have the courage and strength of character to stand by your convictions when it matters most.
