Set in a future-world where humans can control other humans in mass-scale, multi-player online gaming environments, a star player from a game called “Slayers” looks to regain his independence while taking down the game’s mastermind.

This movie really is not that far from the mark when it comes to the possible future of Massively multiplayer online role-playing games. Granted, no actual MMORPG currently exists where it is possible to take control of another living human being. Nevertheless, I am willing to bet that the possible market for such games already exists. To those of you who say society would never let such a bloodthirsty game to exist as the one depicted in the movie. All you have to do is to cast your eyes back to ancient Rome and the gladiators and to a lesser extent, the majority of the computer games available today, which parents actually let their children play.
Yes, I was impressed by the whole concept of the movie. Though I found myself to be, disappointed by the movies ending as I found that it did not seem to live up to the whole tone of the movie.
